Synopsis

Manuel is an influential deputy secretary of a regional government in a Spanish city by the sea. All in his life is working just fine, he has good collaborators, and he is ready for jumping into national politics. But suddenly, news leaks some corruption case involving one of his best friends, and all fall into pieces. The party closes ranks and doesn’t seem eager to help much. But Manuel is not a man who likes to fall alone.

"The Realm" is an engaging thriller that makes a sharp portray of how corruption has gone deep onto Spanish institution since long ago.  With an agitated editing combined by tech evolving music all along with Antonio de la Torre’ striving and arresting performance, the film will catch you since the first frame and won’t let you go since last, surprising, dialectic duel.

Director
Rodrigo Sorogoyen
