Synopsis

Julio is a young adult with poor social skills. He works in a laundry trying to avoid clients and hiding his shyness among pieces of clothes of other people. One day one hand in one pocket and finding curious object develop a different of his timidity, as he enjoys sneaking into other people’s houses to steal their intimate belongings. He starts to go beyond discover a whole new world, populated by different fascinating people, half way between fantasy and reality. But who cares, isn’t fantasy far better than reality?

Alex Muñoz in his debut achieves to convert the story of social dysfunctional young man in a captivating and engaging urban tale, a story of loneliness & alienation, but romance and hiding desire and, why not, love. Loneliness is a constant in modern life, let’s accept it, but by an amazing cinematic word, the filmmaker makes "Lonesome collectors" makes Julio an intriguing and charming character who dives onto the paradoxical feeling of being alone in a crowd with his own resources, and together with smooth camera moves, a map of evolving sounds and perfect music track choices transfer it into pure poetry and research for love. Finding it?
