Synopsis

Diamantino, the absolute icon of football, is able to single out the most formidable defenses. While playing the most important game of his life, his genius no longer operates. His career is halted, and the fallen star seeks meaning in his life. Then begins a crazy odyssey, where neo-fascism, migrant crisis, delusional genetic trafficking and unbridled quest for perfection will confront each other.
The piece earned a reputation as the most singular film at Cannes 2018 where it took the Critics’ Week Grand Prize.
